Director UF Professional Racquet Sports Management
Kim Bastable has spent over 50 years in tennis as both a player and coach, earning NCAA All-America honors at the University of Florida before having a successful coaching career across all levels of the sport. Currently, she is the Director of the University of Florida's Professional Racquets Management Program, where she has grown the UF-DORS program since it’s inception to include 70 graduates and 170 students. Kim holds a Master's in Education and Counseling Psychology, specializing in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership, and brings over 30 years of experience, having served in multiple leadership roles. She continues to consult with youth athletic programs, conduct mental performance coaching. She’s certified as a coach by RSPA, PTR and PadelMBA.

Adjunct Professor
Doug Cash’s industry leadership career is renowned. He spent 40 years working for and leading clubs for Midtown (previously Tennis Corporation of America) and, since retiring, he has had a successful consulting business. working with all types and sizes of clubs. He has been an adjunct professor at UF since 2021, helping students learn the finer points of finance and accounting through personal teaching sessions. Doug teaches with a direct, relatable style grounded in decades of experience. His guidance in the DORS program equips students with realistic strategies for managing the business side of racquet sports by merging big-picture thinking with day-to-day solutions.

Adjunct Professor & Career Coach
Len Simard is an search and consulting executive with Kopplin, Kuebler & Wallace, specializing in racquets industry, fitness and GM placements. A former teaching pro and club leader himself, Len brings deep insight into what makes a candidate stand out. In the DORS program, he helps students strengthen their resumes, sharpen their interview skills, and understand what hiring committees are really looking for. Len’s feedback is direct, actionable, and rooted in years of hiring experience. He is a trusted voice for professionals navigating their next career move.

With almost 40 years of eadership experience at some of the industry’s largest organizations, he offers a big-picture perspective on management and development. Ajay challenges students to lead with intention and build systems that support both people and progress. His contributions to the DORS program help learners step into leadership roles with clarity and confidence. Ajay’s teaching blends operational know-how with a purpose-driven approach to growing the game and to helping leaders grow thriving clubs..
